Hill's Hobby Farm

We welcome you to look around our website. This website is always being updated so as to reflect current stock availability as well as other pertinent information.  At this time, we believe the basics are covered, but as we become more proficient with this tool, additional hyperlinks may appear.

Where are we located?

We are a small family run sheep farm located in north-central Arkansas at the Missouri border just south of the tiny resort community called Pontiac, Mo. on Bull Shoals Lake.

What's new at HHF?

First we finished fencing all but the back quarter of our modest hobby farm (~ 11 acres). My neighbor sold us some chickens, and they did well in the hen house we built for them. It wasn't long before our first seven sheep arrived, and our sheep dog Sheila came soon after. We then built a thirty by twenty foot barn and set up a ninety by sixty foot corral around it. It was about this time that we acquired our second sheep dog Zeus. Next we put up a cross-fence. About one year ago we put up this Web site and got a couple of cows to keep the sheep, the dogs, the cat, and the chickens company. We added a covered breezeway onto the barn and a thirty by fifteen foot stable for the animals to retreat to in severe weather. What's new over the last six months or so is we picked up two new young rams for our conservation effort. First we picked up Xerxes from the Bellwether Farm out of southern Il. We then acquired George Bush from Paradise Farms in north TX, through a coordinated effort on the part of some very nice folks, and for that I thank them.
